The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

This $305 million showpiece provides a central facility for the performing arts in Kansas City, Missouri. SEA provided structural design services for the project. Components of this project include: an 1,800-seat proscenium theater for ballet, opera and theatrical productions and a 1,600-seat concert hall to house the Kansas City Symphony.

The main lobby consists of a large, cable-stayed, glass roof and wall that flows into the curved roof which is clad in stainless steel.
