The new $8.5 million Ronald McDonald House provides temporary and long-term housing for families seeking medical treatment at the nearby Children's Mercy Hospital. The 43,000 square foot building provides 40 guest rooms and suites, dining facilities, recreation rooms, common rooms and offices for the staff. A healing garden is located on the rooftop. The facility also provides ADA access, in the form of long concrete ramps, to the children's hospital. |
